Many people attach great importance to their appearance and even undergo cosmetic surgery in their quest to become more beautiful.
Getting cosmetic surgery can be expensive for some people, and those who cannot afford it try to find lazy ways to achieve their desired look from the comfort of their own homes.
This means that to improve facial features, one should do facial exercises or yoga from home.
Just as exercising the body improves physical health because exercise allows the muscles to relax, facial exercise or facial yoga is also essential.
In fact, when our face remains in the same state, its muscles become stiff and wrinkles become more visible. But when we relax these muscles, it helps to get rid of wrinkles.
According to a report by the medical website Healthline, facial massage or yoga can improve the structure and appearance of the face, as well as reduce wrinkles and fine lines associated with aging.
This technique is designed to relax the muscles in your face, which can help to reduce stress and tension.
Research has shown that face yoga can help to improve facial contours.
What Is Face Yoga?
It is a natural and cosmetic alternative to surgery, with slower but potentially lasting results. Different types of massage are used on the neck, shoulders, and face during the practice of face yoga.
According to research, face yoga can be effective in improving the muscles of the cheeks and face, as well as enhancing their structure. In addition, it may be possible to achieve a more youthful appearance with this practice.
The creator of face yoga, Danielle Collins, explains that facial massage and acupressure techniques are included in the practice of face yoga.
They also advised to focus on improving human health. According to them, practicing face yoga, getting better sleep, consuming healthy foods, and reducing stress is extremely important because when you take care of yourself, the results will show on your face.
What Are The Benefits Of Face Yoga?
The creator of face yoga, Danielle Collins, says that face yoga helps to maintain the overall health and attractiveness of the face. She explains that face yoga helps to reduce wrinkles, improves blood flow, reduces stress, and even helps with headaches and better sleep.
It also helps to deliver oxygen to the cells and tissues of the face, which adds to the radiance and glow of the skin.
A study was conducted in 2018 on middle-aged women, in which 32 facial exercises were recommended to reduce facial wrinkles. Women were asked to perform facial massage and face yoga for 30 minutes daily for the first eight weeks.
The results showed that most of the women were satisfied with the results of facial yoga and massage, and they noticed a clear difference in their faces, with improvement in the facial lines.
However, according to reports, scientists say that more research is needed to gain further insight into these claims.
Facial Yoga Method:
Facial exercises help to prevent facial fat accumulation. Before doing facial yoga, clean your hands well, apply serum or cleansing balm on your palms, and use your fingers to pull your right cheek to the left side, repeating every 10 seconds.
Doing this exercise 3-5 times a day will start lifting your cheeks up.
Eye Exercise:
To remove wrinkles from your eyes, sit comfortably with your shoulders relaxed and your throat soft. Then tilt your head down and look up with just your eyes (don’t look up with your whole head).
Don’t move your head or shoulders, and feel the tension under your eyes. Stay in this position for 30 seconds.
Smiling Exercise:
Remember to never stop smiling or laughing at any point in your life.
Physically, the downside of not smiling is that the muscles in your cheeks will not improve.
In facial yoga, the smiling exercise is called Smooth Smile Lines. After bringing a smile to your face, use your tongue to pull your cheek inward from the inside out.
This will make your facial lines deeper. Do this exercise once a day.
Eye Exercise to Relieve Stress:
This exercise helps to reduce the pressure on the eyes. During the day or before bed, sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes.
Place your fingers on your eyelids and let them rest for a minute. Then, move your fingers in a circular motion around your eyes.
