7 hours interrogation of Arjun Rampal in drug case

Interrogation of Arjun Rampal: The Narcotics Control Bureau of India (NCB) interrogated Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal for seven hours in a drug-related case. Earlier, the NCB had questioned Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriela Demetrides on November 11 and 12.

According to the Hindustan Times, the NCB official said that they have also arrested Paul Bartle, a friend of Arjun Rampal.

“I have nothing to do with drugs, I have a prescription for medicine, which I got from my residence and I have handed over that prescription to the NCB officials,” Rampal told reporters.

“I am cooperating in the investigation and the NCB officials are doing a very good job,” he said. The statement was made by Arjun Rampal after leaving the NCB zonal office in south Mumbai at 6 pm.

The NCB official said he arrived at the office in Billard State on November 13 and was summoned in a case related to alleged drug use in the Indian film industry.

The official added that his friend Paul Bartle, a foreign national, was arrested on November 12 after questioning. The NCB had on November 9 summoned actor Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriela Demetrides for a drug probe.

The agency also questioned the driver of actor Arjun Rampal.

In October, the NCB arrested Gabriella Demetrides’ brother and allegedly confiscated drugs during a raid on his home.

According to reports, his brother was part of a drug nexus linked to the death of actor Shant Singh. He was allegedly in contact with drug smugglers who were responsible for supplying drugs to Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shouk, who were arrested in September.

Before Arjun Rampal, the NCB had raided the house of filmmaker Feroz Nadiadwala and seized drugs from there, after which he was summoned for questioning today.

NCB’s Sameer Wankhede had said that they had raided the western part of Mumbai from where commercial quantities of cannabis, mephedrone and other drugs were recovered.

In the interrogation of Arjun Rampal, He said that the drugs found in the house of the filmmaker were also part of the drug dealing with five drug suppliers.
