Hollywood actor Johnny Depp, 57, had confirmed three days ago that he had parted ways with the upcoming fantasy film ‘Fantastic Beats’.
Johnny Depp had said that he withdrew from the film after losing a Euro 200,000 defamation suit filed against the British newspaper The Sun in the London High Court.
According to the actor, the team of ‘Fantastic Beasts’ had asked him to leave the film, which he accepted and separated himself from the film.
However, his fans were unhappy with the actor’s departure from the film and called it an injustice.
And now his fans have launched a campaign to get Johnny back in the ‘Fantastic Beats’.
According to the showbiz website Blast, Johnny Depp’s fans have started a petition in favour of the actor on the online platform Change Organization.
The petition demanded that Johnny Depp be made a part of the fantasy film ‘Fantastic Beats’.
The online petition was signed by more than 130,000 people by the afternoon of November 10, and more support is needed to bring Johnny Depp back to film.
It is believed that fans of the actor from all over the world will support him, after which Johnny Depp will probably be made a part of the film again, but it is too early to say anything in this regard.
It may be recalled that the London High Court had ruled against Johnny Depp on November 2 this month.
The court had remarked in the defamation case that the evidence showed that the actor had tortured his ex-wife Amber Heard on 14 occasions.
Johnny Depp filed a defamation suit against The Sun for publishing an article against him in 2018.
The British newspaper wrote in its article that Johnny was a ‘husband who abused his wife’.
The newspaper article was published when Johnny and his ex-wife Amber Heard, 34, divorced in 2017.
The two were married in 2015, but Amber Heard filed for divorce in 2016 after accusing Johnny of violence, and the couple divorced in 2017.
