What Is The Reason For Feeling Thirsty In Sleep?

What Is The Reason For Feeling Thirsty In Sleep?: Lack of sleep also causes stress and anxiety throughout the day, but if you open your eyes in the middle of the night due to thirst for water, it takes a long time to fall asleep and it also takes a long time to go to deep sleep.

Experts say that the reason for getting thirsty while sleeping at night is whether or not the required amount of water reaches the body during the day.

Experts say that most people count tea, coffee, or other beverages in water when it is not, drink drinks to win the day, but it is very important to drink 8 glasses of water because of soda, cola drinks, and caffeine.

Beverages containing more water are excreted from the body which dehydrates the person.

Therefore, it is necessary to drink 8 glasses of water a day and if you still open your eyes at night with thirst, then drink 10 to 12 glasses of water a day.

What can be done to get rid of thirst at night?

Experts say that salty and spicy foods should be avoided in such a situation as the use of spicy foods is common for heartburn, acidity, and thirst, so use less salt and spicy foods. Drink more water.

According to experts, nighttime heartburn is also one of the symptoms of diabetes. If you often feel heartburn, see a doctor immediately and use 8 to 10 glasses of water a day to get rid of thirst in sleep.

Scientists have looked deep into the brains of mice to find out why they feel thirsty when they eat food and why cold water quenches thirst more easily.

They have discovered that food triggers a specific ‘thirst circuit’ and closes the mouth at low temperatures.

These same brain cells become active in the event of a blood clot due to dehydration.

However, the new discovery suggests a faster response, which could predict the body’s water needs in the future.

Earlier, scientists wondered how the state of thirst in humans and animals became so active so quickly.

“There are cells inside the brain that cause a feeling of thirst when the blood becomes too salty,” says Zachary Knight, senior author of the study at the University of California. But the daily process of drinking water is moving so fast that it could not be explained by the old model.

For example, as soon as we drink water, our thirst is quenched. Dr. Knight says that this means that thirst does not arise in response to the body’s water balance, but rather that it controls the amount of water itself.

The study, published in the scientific journal Nature, explains how the brain’s ability to predict dehydration works.

For this, a team of scientists examined the brain activity of genetically modified mice. Inside the thirst-controlling part of these mice, certain types of cells light up when they are active.

This meant that the team could use fiber optics to record how active brain cells become when mice eat or drink under different experimental conditions.

When rats are thirsty, a certain part of their brain, the SFO, becomes very active. As soon as they drink water, the activity of this part slows down.

In the same way, when rats eat, the ‘circuit of thirst’ becomes clear, although by that time no change has taken place in their blood.

SFO cells appear to be affected by conditions in rats’ mouths.

Dr. Knight told the BBC: “This activity goes up and down very fast after receiving signals from inside the mouth during eating and drinking.

“Even more unusual is the effect of temperature,” he said.

“Coldwater closes the cells faster. On the contrary, we have even noticed that cooling the mouths of rats without drinking water reduces the activity of thirst cells.

“Temperature is also a signal to which they react.”
