In September, the Chinese ZTE Phones company introduced the world’s first in-display camera phone, the Exxon 20 FiveG.
Various companies are working on this technology but ZTE has left everyone behind in terms of such commercial phones.
The phone is currently available in several countries, but now the company has introduced a different and possibly cheaper version.
Exxon 20 has now been introduced in the 4G version with a Unisok Tiger T618 processor.
The ZTE Phones Exxon 20 4G also has a selfie camera hidden inside the screen, while the other features are almost identical except for the processor.
This processor from Uniswick is different from Snapdragon 765G and this is the significant difference in this phone.
The new version of the Exxon 20 has a 6.9-inch FHD Plus OLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a fingerprint scanner inside the screen.
6 to 8 GB RAM and 128 to 256 GB storage is provided.
The phone has a 4220 mAh battery with 30 watts of fast charging support, while the Android 10 operating system is integrated with the company’s fire 10.5 user interface.
On the back of the device is a quad-camera setup with a 64-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
There are also 2-megapixel cameras for depth data and macro shots.
As for the under-display camera, the company says that it has combined 5 technologies for the hidden camera inside the display while using special material to improve the light input in the lens.
There is also a dual control chip and a driver circuit that works with the phone’s display and colours to ensure that the camera and display do not interfere with each other’s function.
A new shooting algorithm for the under-display camera has been incorporated into the phone to help improve image quality by adapting itself to light.
Inside the display, the camera is 32 megapixels and according to the company, the lens has been made part of the screen through pixel arrangement.
The company has not yet announced the price and availability, but it is expected to be cheaper than the 5G version, which has a model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at 2,198 Chinese Yuan (over 53,000 Pakistani rupees).
The version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is available for 2498 yuan (over 60,000 Pakistani rupees) while the phone with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is available for 2798 yuan (over 67 thousand Pakistani rupees).
