Huawei Ready To Introduce Huawei Electric Vehicles After Smartphones: Some time ago, a report said that Huawei has started planning to manufacture electric vehicles after the smartphone business was affected as a result of US sanctions.

Reuters news agency claimed in a report that some models of Huawei’s first electric vehicles could be introduced this year.

Huawei has now made significant strides in this regard by introducing the HI Intelligent Automotive solution.

The system includes a computing system, 4D imaging radar, an automated driving platform, and intelligent thermal management.

The system runs on Huawei’s Harmony OS and leader chip and has 5G support.

Introducing the system, Wang Jun, president of Huawei’s Intelligent Automotive Solutions business, said: “The smart car revolution is about to get worse and Huawei is constantly working on technologies that can take this sector forward.”

The system comes at a time when Huawei is working to make inroads into the field of smart vehicles.

The company plans to spend 1 billion a year on research and development to offset the decline in revenue from the smartphone business and networking products.

Wang Jun said Huawei’s Intelligent Car Unit has 5,000 employees, 2,000 of whom are working on automated technologies.

He emphasized that Huawei was not producing cars on its own and was simply working on other smart car technologies to provide hardware parts and software to companies around the world.

Experts said that by acting as a slider, Huawei will be able to develop the required technologies for smart vehicles by partnering with a number of car manufacturers, which have vast opportunities in China and around the world.

According to experts, the demand for such technology is very high in car manufacturers.

A Reuters report in February said that Huawei was in talks to produce electric vehicles at the plants of Chongqing China Gun Automobile Corporation and other companies.

A spokesman for the company later told Bloomberg that Huawei was not a carmaker and that its purpose was to supply parts to companies.

It may be recalled that during the second quarter of 2020, Huawei snatched the title of the world’s number one smartphone company from Samsung.

However, sanctions imposed under President Donald Trump have made it difficult for Huawei to secure supplies of the most important aircraft.

Huawei founder Zen Zhengfai recently said that the company will continue to manufacture smartphones, even though the company sold its budget Honor brand at the end of last year.

According to Reuters, Huawei is also in talks with the BAIC group to manufacture electric vehicles.

A few Chinese technology companies recently announced their entry into the electric vehicle market.

Search engine Baidu announced plans to build an electric vehicle in January, while Xiaomi said in a recent statement that it was reviewing developments in the industry, but did not indicate the launch of any plans. ۔
