The social networking site Twitter has introduced a new feature similar to Snapchat and Instagram Stories. This feature is called Flats which disappears text, photos, videos after 24 hours.
That is Instagram stores like the Snapchat stores themselves.
In fact, Twitter has taken a long time to adopt this feature, which is surprising because it has already been introduced in all Facebook apps.
According to the company, the process of introducing this feature worldwide has started on November 17 and it may take a few weeks.
This feature will be available to Twitter’s iOS and Android users in the coming weeks. Twitter launched the feature in March 2020 in several countries, including Brazil, Italy, India and South Korea.
The company said in a statement that “disappearing one day later, this feature will give people more satisfaction in sharing personal & other ideas.”
Messages, photos and videos posted under this feature will not be retweeted, liked or replied to, but will be replicated to direct messages.
According to Moe Aldham, Twitter’s group product manager, users will use this feature for everyday ideas that will be different from the structure of traditional tweets, so they will not be liked or retweeted.
