Pakistani Movie The Legend of Maula Jatt Earned 50 Crore In 5 Days

To date in the history of Pakistani cinema, no film has earned so much in the first week. Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Hamima Malik’s star action film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ became the first Pakistani film ever to earn Rs 50 crore in its first week of release.

In the history of Pakistan to date, no film has earned 50 crore rupees on the first day of release and no other film has been screened simultaneously on 500 screens in 25 countries of the world.

However, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ earned more than Rs 50 crore from all over the world, including Pakistan, in the first week of its release, setting many records.

In a story shared by the film’s producer Amara Hekmat and the film’s official Instagram page, it was stated that the film has earned more than 2.3 million US dollars and 50 crore Pakistani rupees worldwide till October 18.

The Post reported that the film’s highest overseas gross was in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where the film grossed over US$500,000.

The film grossed the highest overall in Pakistan, however, the UAE’s earnings were slightly lower than the local industry.

In terms of overseas earnings, the UK was second and the USA was third while Canada was fourth and Australia was fifth overall the film earned more than 50 crore rupees in just 5 days from 25 countries of the world including Pakistan.

That is, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ earned Rs 10 crore per day worldwide, which is equal to the lifetime earnings of several Pakistani films.

Although Pakistani films have seen an increase in earnings in recent years, no film has crossed Rs 50 crore in the first 5 days of its release.

Films released in recent years like ‘Jawaani Phir Nahi Aani, Unknown People, Punjab Nahi Jaon Ga, London Nahi Jaon Ga, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, and Actor In Law’ have earned well and some films have grossed 50 crores. Even went up to Rs., but no film has earned Rs.10 crores in a day and Rs.50 crores in five days.

According to the sources, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ was made with a budget of 50 to 60 crore Pakistani rupees, however, the team of the film did not give any explanation in this regard.

‘The Legend of Mola Jatt’ is a Punjabi language film which is a remake of the 1979 film ‘Mola Jat’ and the film was completed and released almost a decade later.
